You can discover the ocean, explore the universe in VR, or even fly like a bird in the sky. With VR, you can do it all! VR makes it all possible! But how can you watch free 360° VR videos on your Meta Quest 3 headset? Most of the apps on the Meta store are paid and only a few of them let you watch free VR videos. In this post, I will show you how to watch VR 360° movies and videos on your Meta Quest 3 headset for free, without using a PC or Sidequest. This is the only method that works for all types of VR 360° content, including VR180, VR360, 3D, and 8K.
What You Need
· A Meta Quest 3 headset connected to the same WiFi network as your phone or computer
· A phone or computer that has the VR 360° movie or video files that you want to watch.
· DLNA server app on your phone or computer that can stream the VR 360° movie or video files to your headset. There are many DLNA server apps available for both Android and iOS devices, such as Plex, and DLNA server
· A DeoVR video player app on your headset that can play the VR 360° movie or video files from the DLNA server. You can download Deovr from the Meta Quest app store for free
How to Watch
To watch VR 360° movies and videos on your Meta Quest 3 headset without using a PC or Sidequest, follow these steps:
· Launch the DLNA server app on your phone or computer and add the VR 360° movie or video files to your media library.
· Put Your VR and open the DeoVR on your headset and go to the Settings menu.
· Enable the "Remote Control" option and note down the IP address and port number displayed on the screen.
· You will see a web interface that allows you to control the DeoVR app on your headset. You can browse your phone's or computer's storage, select a VR 360° movie or video file, and play it on your headset. You can also adjust the playback settings, such as the projection mode, the field of view, the zoom level, and the subtitles.
· Enjoy your VR 360° movie or video on your Meta Quest 3 headset!
